Welcome to our returning and new members!

To our returning members, welcome to another great year with SITE Minnesota.  To our new members, welcome to the organization and thank you for joining.  As returning members can tell you, the SITE Minnesota chapter is very active with a wide range of excellent education and networking opportunities centered on the travel professional in the incentive market.  As you may know, the chapter is comprised of around 100 travel professionals ranging from hoteliers and DMC’s to meeting planners and incentive travel executives from all over the US.  I encourage you to maximize the value of your membership by taking advantage of the chapter's offerings and networking with your fellow colleagues. If you are in interested in being more active in the chapter, please feel free to reach out to me or one of the board members for more information.

It has been an exciting and prosperous journey for SITE Minnesota in 2016.  Over the course of the year we had many exciting events including Sip & Sites (networking events), Global Meetings Industry Day in April, our fantastic Education Day in August and finally our CSR & Holiday Event in December.  Thank you to our attendees, our sponsors and Board of Directors for making each one of those events a great success.  Each event was poised within the meetings and events industry as a must attend event and we were lucky enough to have approximately 500 folks attend our various events from around the globe!

Throughout 2016 we were extremely proud to partner with Youthlink Minnesota; an organization that aids young people  while they transition from homelessness and helplessness to hopefulness and self-reliance.  Our chapter supported Youthlink throughout the year with donation drives at our events that included such items as toiletries, deodorant, and women’s and men’s clothing.  We also held raffles at our various events in which a portion of the proceeds; totaling over $9,000 that went directly back to Youthlink.  Some of our board also participated in the Youthlink, Night of Hope, where executives from around the Twin Cities spent the night outside of the Minneapolis Convention Center to raise awareness for youth homelessness.  I am pleased to announce we will continue partnering with Youthlink once again in 2017.
